PURPOSE:To remove residual magnetically sticking material relating to clogging of a matrix effectively by executing washing of the matrix by ejecting pressurized water from two directions, namely, from an introducing side of feed liquid and outflowing side thereof, to the matrix. CONSTITUTION:A backwashing nozzle 32 capable of executing washing of a matrix 13 from vertically downward side is provided additionally to a washing nozzle 21 provided above the matrix 13 in a rotary movable magnetic separation device. As the result, particles 19 of a magnetic body sticking magnetically to the matrix 13 are almost completely removed by the pressurized water 33 ejected toward upward from just below the matrix 13. The magnetically sticking particles are completely removed immediately thereafter by the pressurized water 22 ejected from vertically above the matrix 13 toward downward. By this method, running for a long period has become possible and the frequency for exchanging the matrix 13 is decreased. |
