PURPOSE:To prevent concentration of flame, soot, smell and CO by providing two stages of narrow sections at the lower end of red-heat section and the upper section of tip end of a wick. CONSTITUTION:When the tip end of the wick 1 is ignited upon igniting the burner, flame spreads along the wick 1 to the whole length of the wick and the evaporation of fuel is promoted. Vaporized fuel, air entered through air ports 7a near the wick 1, exhaust gas of combustion and the like become rising air stream by draft generated in a combustion chamber 7, however, the lower part of the combustion chamber 7 becomes half-closed space by upper and lower pressure balance plates 11, 12 under a condition that the temperature of the wick 1 is not increased sufficiently and the amount of evaporation of the fuel is small, therefore, the mixed gas is filled in the lower part of the combustion chamber 7 quickly and uniform burning condition is obtained along the whole length of vicinity of the wick 1. On the other hand, the mixed gas, ascending through the narrow section 11a, is uniformed sufficiently in the lengthwise direction thereof in the upper part of the upper pressure balance plate 11 and combustion flame thereafter is not concentrated into the central section of the combustion chamber, therefore, uniform combustion condition may be obtained in the overall width of the combustion chamber 7.
