Steam turbine system having a multistage steam turbine whose exhaust steam side is connected to a condenser whose condensate is fed by means of a pump via a series of heat exchangers to a steam boiler for the purpose of feeding the turbine. The heat exchangers are connected via bleeding (tapping, extraction) pipes to bleeding (tapping, extraction) points of the steam turbine. In each case, a bleeding point with a higher pressure is connected to a heat exchanger with a higher temperature, and an adjacent bleeding point with a lower pressure is connected to a heat exchanger with a lower temperature. Arranged at a bleeding point of higher pressure is the drive side, and at a bleeding point of lower pressure the suction side of a steam-jet compressor whose compression side is connected to an auxiliary heat exchanger which is connected downstream of the heat exchanger which is connected to the bleeding point to which the suction (intake) side of the steam-jet compressor is connected. The effect of the steam-jet compressors is to raise steam subflows of low enthalpy states to a respectively higher enthalpy state and to put them to use to prewarm condensate at this level. The corresponding bleeding subflows, which are no longer required, remain in the steam turbine and generate additional power. Consequently, there is an improvement in the thermal efficiency of the thermodynamic process and thus of the steam turbine system. <IMAGE>
