摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce the energy consumption of an IC card by causing the compact arithmetic unit of the IC card to be a condition to move to a low energy consumption mode while it is waited that a command signal is inputted from a transmitter and receiver. CONSTITUTION:After a compact arithmetic unit (MPU) 2 to be built-in an IC card 1 is activated, the MPU 2 is automatically moved to the low energy consumption mode. Then, when an interrupting signal is inputted from a transmitter and receiver 5, the MPU 2 is moved from the low energy consumption mode to an information processing mode and information processing is executed on the basis of a command form the transmitter and receiver 5. The MPU 2 outputs the result of the information processing to the transmitter and receiver 5 and after that, the MPU 2 is moved again to the low energy consumption mode. Namely, while it is waited that the command signal is inputted from the transmitter and receiver 5, the MPU 2 of the IC card 1 goes to the condition to move to the low energy consumption mode and energy consumption during such a condition is reduced. Thus, the low energy consumption of the IC card 1 can be achieved rationally.</p>
