PURPOSE:To raise the supply quantity of effective ink and to prolong service life by oxidizing a hydrophobic thin film after it is formed on the surface. CONSTITUTION:This method is to maintain ink by capillary power and to improve the quantity of an ink occluder supplying the ink to the top pen. To oxidize the hydrophobic thin film after it is formed on the surface, polysiloxane possessing a hydrophobic group such as a methyl group, an interfacial active agent such as aliphatic amid, and a titanium based coupling agent are appropriately selected as materials forming the hydrophobic thin film. They are appropriately dissolved with water an organic solvent, into which the ink absorbent is immersed and dried. To oxidize the hydrophobic thin film, appropriate oxidant is used. Gas is preferable and readily treats the inside of the ink occluder at high uniformity. |
