发明名称 LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS PRODUCTION
摘要 PURPOSE:To facilitate multi-level display and to accomplish excellent video display in which the change of chromaticity is small by filling a gap part with liquid crystal and laminating a liquid crystal panel having desired optical anisotropy in a state where a voltage is impressed and such an optical phase difference plate that cancels the optical anisotropy. CONSTITUTION:A substrate 3 where a TFT element to which vertical orientation processing is performed is formed and an opposed substrate 3 where a common electrode to which horizontal orientation processing is performed is formed are opposingly stuck to each other so that the electrode sides may be faced, then the liquid crystal is injected between the substrates. The vertical orientation processing 10 is performed to one of two substrates 3 where the transparent electrode is formed in the same way as the orientation technique for the liquid crystal panel and the horizontal orientation processing 11 is performed to the other substrate so as to obtain the 2nd liquid crystal panel 2 being the optical phase difference plate having orientation and thickness of the liquid crystal layer all the same as the liquid crystal panel. Thus, the multi-level display is facilitated and excellent black display in which transmissivity (reflectance) is extremely low is obtained at the desired effective voltage, thereby accomplishing the high-quality video display whose contrast ratio is high.
