The filler pipe (28) for a car fuel tank is provided with a plastics lining (29) with a sealing ring (30) fitted between the lining and the wall of the filler pipe. The sealing ring has a wall with an undulating cross-section so that several circumferential grooves are formed on its external surface. The grooves receive O-rings (32,33) which are permanently attached to the sealing ring. The latter fits in circumferential grooves in the filler pipe wall and is secured by the formation of a circumferential groove (31) in the lining.
