The invention relates to a towed device for picking up mulching in the form of a plastic film used in agriculture, including a chassis (1) equipped with longitudinal members (2) joined at the front by a crossmember (3) on which are made anchoring points (4) for the three point hitch of a tractor, under the longitudinal members (2) are fixed the wheels (5) resting on the ground and a rotary cylindrical drum (6), the lateral surface (7) of which is provided with recesses (8) in which there slide fingers (10) set out in star configuration on a rotary sleeve tube (11) slipped over a shaft (12), the said shaft (12) being held offset from the axes (14) of the drum (6) in order to constitute an eccentric between the fingers (10) and the lateral surface (7) of the drum (6) such that during the rotation of the drum (6) the fingers (10) pointing towards the ground project, whereas those pointing upwards are retracted so that the plastic film (18) resting on the ground is gripped from both sides and released at the upper part where the said film (18) is recovered and wound onto a rotary shaft (25) articulated on the moving arms (27), the said winding being obtained by means of a winder (19) with belts (28), the rotation of the drum (6) is obtained during the forward travel of the chassis (1) by means of a chain transmission (20) as well as that of the belts (28) by means of a chain transmission (30). <IMAGE>
