PURPOSE:To obtain a fire resistant impact absorbing bag of uniform quality and high reliability which can be easily manufactured by winding into a bag tape-shaped open weaving yarn coated with an elastomer composed mainly of a polymer containing halogen radicals in its molecular structure. CONSTITUTION:Open weaving yarn 1 in the form of a tape is passed through a rubber solution impregnating device 2 and impregnated with a rubber solution 3 and then the amount of rubber attached to the yarn 1 is controlled using a doctor knife 4. A tape 5 thus obtained is passed between opposite rollers 7, 8 and passed around rollers 9, 10 and wound onto a disc-shaped metallic mandrel 13 via a delivery eye 11 reciprocating in the direction parallel to the rotary shaft 12 of the disc-shaped mandrel 13 to which a mold release agent is applied in advance and which can be decomposed. Then the disc-shaped mandrel 13 is decomposed and an impact absorbing bag 14 formed on the mandrel 13 is taken out; i.e. the tape-shaped open weaving yarn coated with an elastomer composed mainly of a polymer containing fire resistant halogen radicals in its molecular structure is wound into a bag. |
