REDUCTION OF CARBON DIOXIDE WITH PROPANE

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide an industrial method of producing carbon monoxide useful as a raw material for various kinds of organic compounds by reducing carbon dioxide making trouble as a main cause substance of warming of the earth. CONSTITUTION:Carbon dioxide is reduced with propane as a reducing agent by using one or more selected from chromium oxide, zinc oxide, gallium oxide and palladium supported on alumina as a catalyst to produce both propylene and carbon monoxide.
