PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve enlargement of a writing capacity, downsizing of memory, and acceleration of write processing while maintaining low power consumption of search processing.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device for writing an entry address corresponding to target key data to a memory space of a plurality of memory segments constituting a search memory mat allocates each of data segments to a memory segment, and using each data segment as an address, sequentially writes the entry address corresponding to the data segment to the memory space identified by a memory address of the memory segment (first write processing). When an accessed memory space already has another entry address in the first write processing, the entry address is not written to the memory space. When the entry address corresponding to a data segment of the plurality of data segments is successfully written to the memory space, the first write processing is finished.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
