PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system that directly supplies a luminaire with an AC voltage suitable to operate the luminaire, and an illumination system using the same.SOLUTION: In a power supply system 8, a first AC voltage Vfrom a commercial power source is supplied to the primary side of a main breaker 12. A transformer 14 is provided at the secondary side of the main breaker 12, and transforms the first AC voltage Vto a second AC voltage Vlower than the first AC voltage V. The second AC voltage Voutput from the transformer 14 is supplied to the primary side of a sub breaker 16. An illumination power supply line 22 is provided to the secondary side of the sub breaker 16, and supplies the second AC voltage Vto a luminaire 20. The second AC voltage Vmay be a voltage (for example, 36 V or less) lower than a voltage at which a wiring work is required to have a special qualification. The illumination power supply line 22 may be provided with connection tools 24a, 24b for connecting luminaires 20a, 20b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
