The present invention provides a DNA exhibiting nerve activity-dependent promoter activity, wherein a fragment containing the CREB binding site, the MEF2 binding site and the SRF binding site from among the synaptic activity-responsive elements (SAREs) on the promoter of an Arc/Arg3.1 gene contains a construct that is connected in tandem at least twice.
