PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the hang-out of a swing unit to a vehicle width direction by arranging a stepped transmission to the swing unit which axially pivots a rear wheel.SOLUTION: In an electric saddle type vehicle having a swing unit, the swing unit comprises a main case including a pair of pivot parts which are pivoted to a vehicle body frame, a motor which is arranged so that an output shaft is oriented to a vehicle fore-and-aft direction, a drive unit of the motor, and a stepped transmission. The motor and the drive unit are aligned in the vehicle width direction at a side at which the motor and the drive unit approximate the pivot parts in the vehicle fore-and-aft direction rather than the rear wheel, and a counter shaft of the stepped transmission and a gear change operation mechanism are arranged at an upper side or a lower side with respect to a main shaft. |
