<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate damages of a rotary electric machine on its locking condition by using less phase-winding temperature detectors less than the total of phases of multi-phase winding in the rotary electric machine. <P>SOLUTION: A controlling system 10 for vehicles is provided with a three-phase rotary electric machine 12 with temperature sensors 20, 22 for detecting a temperature in two sets of phase windings, a power supply circuit 40 connected to the rotary electric machine 12, and a controller 60. A memory 68 in the controller 60 stores data on the load-factor regulation of the rotary electric machine 12. A CPU 62 is constituted of a current-concentrating phase specifying module 70 for specifying a current-concentrating phase when the rotary electric machine 12 is turned to the locking condition, a temperature-sensor existence determining module 72 for determining whether or not a current sensor is provided in the current-concentrating phase, and an operating-condition changing module 74 for changing the operating condition of the rotary electric machine 12 on the basis of the determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
