The invention relates to a hot water unit (1) with a water line, comprising at least one water inflow (2), which leads from a wall connection (5) to the hot water unit (1), and at least one water outflow (3), which leads from the unit to a water discharge point (6), and at least one heating device (4) positioned between said water inflow (2) and water outflow (3), wherein the hot water unit (1) has, at its water inflow (2), at least one means for dosing (7) additives for chemically changing the water quality. The hot water unit (1) according to the invention is characterized in that at least one second means (10) for dosing additives for chemically changing the water quality is arranged in the water line. The hot water unit (1) according to the invention permits, in an effective manner and at low cost, a level of water quality which meets increased consumer demands, while the unit at the same time has a longer service life. |
