PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to prevent the distribution of particles from becoming uneven per pixel due to an image displayed at a reset state in comparison with the case of applying, to between boards, reset voltage to generate an electric field for moving all of multiple types of particle groups to one board side at once.SOLUTION: A drive device 20 for a display medium 10 comprises a voltage application unit 30 that applies, to between boards, reset voltage to generate an electric field for moving particles in a first particle group 62 or a second particle group 64 at a time to a display board 50 or rear board 52 side for the display medium 10 including the display board 50, the rear board 52, and the first particle group 62 and the second particle group 64 that are different in color encapsulated between the boards so as to move between the boards according to an electric field formed between the boards of the display board 50 and the rear board 52 and different in threshold voltage to generate an electric field for breaking away from the boards.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
