<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor for easily supplying a stable drive current to a coil during an inspection. <P>SOLUTION: The spindle motor is provided with a stator facing a rotor and having the coil, a base 5 on which the stator is fixed, and a flexible wiring board 15 provided outside the motor on the base 5. In the spindle motor, ends 3a-3c of a plurality of windings of the coil are outwardly guided from the motor through a hole 19 in the wiring board 15. The ends 3a-3c of the windings are connected to a plurality of main lands 26a-26c formed on the wiring board 15. A plurality of backup lands 28a-30c correspond to each main land 26a-26c and are electrically connected. The backup lands 28a-30c are disposed in a concentric circle 35.
