In the present invention, when multi-code transmission is performed, transmission side executes conversion of amplitude to suppress the peak power, and a reception side has an estimator for compensating a distortion due to the conversion. In particular, as one of the methods, the transmission side executes MOD calculation for each chip, and the reception side executes estimation for an amplitude lost by the MOD calculation, thereby reducing the peak power to one-ninth.
