The device (1a) has a spring element (5) whose spring constant is larger than spring constant of another spring element (6), where the device is inserted in to a support slot of a tool. A marker is provided for differentiating the both spring elements. A wing shaped mold (4a) connects the spring elements with a retaining block (2), where thickness of the retaining block is larger than width of the support slot. Widths of spring elements are smaller than width of the support slot, so that the spring elements are retracted in the support slot. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing a lifting device.
