The present invention provides a cable-type secondary battery comprising: a cable-type electrode assembly, which includes an inner electrode and a separation layer formed while surrounding the outer surface of the inner electrode, and preventing a short-circuit of the electrode; and a sheet-type outer electrode formed while surrounding the outer surface of the cable-type electrode assembly, wherein the formula below is satisfied in the cable-type electrode assembly. C ≥ W (C is the circumference of a cross-section orthogonal to the lengthwise direction of the cable-type electrode assembly; W is the width of the sheet-type outer electrode).
