1. A method for screening a subject at risk for a hematologic disease, comprising (a) providing buffy coat of peripheral blood or a bone marrow aspirate isolated from the subject and (b) measuring the expression level of gelsolin mRNA in the buffy coat as a marker for a hematologic disease wherein when the expression level of gelsolin mRNA is measured to be as low as 80% or less or as high as 120% or more of that in a normal group, the subject is diagnosed as being at risk for the hematologic disease. |
