A display device includes a display panel, a shielding film positioned at at least a portion of a back surface of the display panel, and a back cover positioned at a back surface of the shielding film. The shielding film includes a plurality of areas, of which transparencies are independently changed. The shielding film includes a first state and a second state, in which, in the first state, at least a portion of the shielding film is transparent, and in the second state, the at least a portion of the shielding film is opaque.

1. A display device comprising:
a display panel; a shielding film positioned at at least a portion of a back surface of the display panel, wherein the shielding film includes: first and second films forming one surface and another surface of the shielding film, respectively; first and second conductive layers positioned between the first and second films, respectively; and a discoloration layer positioned between the first and second conductive layers, and the first and second conductive layers are partitioned into a plurality of areas so as to operate the discoloration layer into a plurality of areas corresponding to the respective partitioned first and second conductive layers, where transparencies of an individual discoloration layer area is independently changed; and a back cover positioned at a back surface of the shielding film, wherein at least a portion of the back cover is formed of a transparent material, and a background behind the back cover is visible from a front surface of the display panel through the individual area of the discoloration layer that is transparent.
