243,332. Bragg, C. S., and Kliesrath, V. W. Nov. 22, 1924, [Convention date]. Dished disc and like springs; springs formed by cutting and stamping plates.-In a servo-motor in which coaxial oppositely-acting conical valves are employed, spring packing devices are arranged between the valves to press them to their seats and to prevent leakage. A spring, metallic diaphragm 150, Fig. 3, may be soldered to the rod 120 and to the valves. In the construction shown in Fig. 6, a peripherally-grooved, elastic member with flanges 52 passed out by a spring, is provided. Suitable forms of springs are shown in Figs. 7, 8, and 9. The slitted, annular disc 55 has its fingers 56 alternately pressed out on either side. The cylinder 53, Fig. 9, has its ends slotted, the fingers being turned up as indicated at 54.
|
