A monitoring probe is provided for monitoring a fluid inside a process system. The probe comprises an elongate first portion comprising at least one fibreoptic sensor, such as a Fibre Bragg Grating (FBG), for monitoring more than one measurand, including temperature, pressure, flow velocity or acoustic noise. The probe is inserted through an aperture of a chamber or pipe so the sensor is in communication with the fluid. The first portion may be a probe chamber for a thermowell or a flexible element to fit in a groove of a curved internal wall. The probe has a threaded screw, ferrule or bolt for securing attachment of the probe to the process system. |
