A standby and wake up method and apparatus for an Android device. The standby method for an Android device comprises: when detecting a standby signal, informing associated hardware modules to be ready to enter into a standby state (S110); turning off an LCD backlight and maintaining an LCD module in a powered on standby state so as to reserve data in the current LCD module (S120); controlling an internal storage to enter into a self-refresh mode and maintaining the internal storage module in a powered on standby state so as to reserve data in the current internal storage module (S130); turning off other hardware modules (S140); and after other associated hardware modules all enter into standby states, turning off a CPU clock so as to make a CPU module in a standby state under a sleep mode (S150). By optimizing the standby flow of an Android device, the wake up time for the Android device is shortened, improving the user experience. |
