Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for generating a log of a first transaction that involves a modification of a variable in a volatile memory and activating a controlled deferment of a second transaction associated with the variable. Additionally, an update of data in non-volatile memory may be conducted based on the modification while the controlled deferment is activated. In one example, activating the controlled deferment including initializing a hash value associated with the variable, incrementing the hash value, and storing the incremented hash value to the volatile memory. |
