The present invention relates to a bottom diluter duct (6) of a vortex cleaner, the bottom diluter duct (6) comprising at least a flow channel (7), a dilution water inlet (8) for supplying dilution water to the flow channel (7), and an outlet (9) for discharging dilution water from the bottom diluter duct (6) into the vortex cleaner (1). The bottom diluter duct (6) also comprises a means (10) for controlling the flow of dilution water, arranged movable between a first and a second position.
