1. An immunogenic composition, comprising:
(a) one or more glycans comprising Globo H, stage-specific embryonic antigen-3 (SSEA-3), stage-specific embryonic antigen-4 (SSEA-4), Gb4, an immunogenic fragment thereof, or combination thereof, wherein each of the glycan is conjugated with a carrier protein selected from diphtheria toxin cross-reacting material 197 (DT-CRM 197), diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid or bovine serum albumin through a linker; and (b) an α-galactosyl-ceramide (α-GalCer) adjuvant, wherein the adjuvant has the following structure: wherein the composition induces an antibody that cross-reacts with at least one of the antigens: Globo H, Gb4, SSEA-3 and SSEA-4.
