According to one embodiment of the present invention, a luminance control method of a first display device, which is connected to a second display device displaying a partial image of content and displays the remaining images of the content, comprises the steps of: receiving all of the images of the content; acquiring a first average picture level (APL) value of the partial image and a second APL value of the remaining image; and adjusting a luminance of one of the first display device and the second display device on the basis of a difference between the acquired first APL value and the acquired second APL value.
