Disclosed are a physical-port control method and apparatus. The method comprises: monitoring a change of channel information corresponding to a physical port for a layer-2 service; when it is detected that the channel information changes from complete to incomplete, closing the physical port; and when it is detected that the channel information changes from incomplete to complete, opening the physical port.
