The invention relates to a method for determining the length of at least one track section (L1, L2, L3), wherein - drive-over signals which are caused by a rail vehicle (10) driving over the at least one track section (L1, L2, L3) and which are triggered by rail contacts (K1, K2, K3, K4) that delimit the respective track section (L1, L2, L3) are detected, - the speed of the rail vehicle (10) is ascertained, and - the length of the at least one track section (L1, L2, L3) is determined taking into account the time intervals between the detected drive-over signals and the ascertained speed. The invention further relates to a control device (50) for determining the length of at least one track section (L1, L2, L3). |
