The invention relates to a card connector achieving sufficient friction and sufficient contact pressure between two switch contacts. The card connector comprises a switch (23) formed by a first switch contact (231) and a second switch contact (232) in cantilever beam shapes. The top of the free end side of the second switch contact (232) is abutted against the top of the free end of the first switch contact (231) at the inner side of the card inserting direction. The second switch contact (232) is pressed by the card so as to be deformed elastically toward the inner side of the inserting direction for being separated from the first switch contact (231). The first switch contact (231) has a spring constant more than that of the first switch contact (231) when same force is applied to the mutually-contacted part. When the card is pulled out, the first switch contact (231) is pressed by the second switch contact (232) so as to be abutted against the wall (stopping portion) (211a) of a hole (211) of a housing (21). |
