摘要 Described is cryptographically managed telecommunications settlement occurring in real time with generation and termination of a telecommunications channel. Upon the generation of a communications channel, a contract fund is established between two or more telecommunications services and recorded on a cryptographic ledger. Over the course of regular intervals of channel service, cryptocurrency is released from the contract fund. Upon termination of the communications channel, the released amount of the contract fund is transferred to the receiving provider telecommunications, the remainder back to the requesting telecommunications service. Transactions between cryptocurrency wallets are all published to the cryptographic ledger.

A method for managing telecommunications channels with cryptographic ledgers comprising: opening a channel by a buyer telecommunications server with a seller telecommunications server thereby enabling communications connections between users of the buyer telecommunications server to users of the seller telecommunications server; corresponding, by the buyer telecommunications server, with a channel monitor configured to exchange channel contract information and manage public and private keys for a buyer cryptocurrency wallet and a seller cryptocurrency wallet for the buyer telecommunications server and the seller telecommunications server respectively, the channel monitor further configured to generate and manage a transaction wallet, the transaction wallet requiring private key signatures from both the buyer and seller cryptocurrency wallet in order to process cryptocurrency transactions; supplying, by the buyer cryptocurrency wallet, cryptocurrency to the transaction wallet with a transaction signed by private keys corresponding to the buyer and seller cryptocurrency wallet, and recording on a cryptographic ledger; generating, by the channel monitor, a time-locked refund transaction for the transaction wallet to return all cryptocurrency to the buyer cryptocurrency wallet, the refund transaction signed by the private keys of the buyer and seller cryptocurrency wallet; recording, by the channel monitor, channel use data associated with the channel at time intervals indicated by the channel contract information; creating at payment intervals, by the channel monitor, a payment transaction for the transaction wallet signed by the buyer cryptocurrency wallet at each of the payment intervals, wherein payment intervals occur at end of every time interval, each created payment transaction supersedes the refund transaction and each previously created payment transactions, wherein the each payment transaction includes an amount determined by a number of time intervals that have passed with instructions to transfer to the seller cryptocurrency wallet and a remaining amount with instructions to return to the buyer cryptocurrency wallet; terminating, by the buyer telecommunications server, use of the channel; and terminating creation of payment transactions at each payment interval, wherein a most recent payment transaction created by the channel monitor is executed and published on the cryptographic ledger when the seller cryptocurrency wallet private key signs the most recent payment transaction.
