PURPOSE:To form a color image at one Part of recording paper size for forming a monochromatic image and to substantially enlarge recording size by forming the color image including the monochromatic image longer than the maximum width of the color image which can be formed on an image forming body. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image corresponding to yellow (Y) is formed on the surface of a photoreceptive drum 11 uniformly electrostatically charged by an electrostatic charger 12 by an image signal. Similarly, electrostatic latent images corresponding to magenta(M) and cyan(C) are formed on it. They are formed so that an O2 area between the center O to O1 and the center O to O3 of the drum 11 becomes the electrostatic latent image forming surface. Then, they are respectively developed by developing devices 30Y, 30M and 30C corresponding to Y, M and C. Next, the developing is executed by a developing device 30BK corresponding to black(BK) by the image signal. Then, the abutting of a cleaning blade 19 is set to such timing that the latent image forming action of the color image is finished and the forming action is transferred to the latent image forming action of the monochromatic image. |
