Composite material comprises: (a) fillers (greater than 75-95 wt.%) comprising a mixture of (a1) non-agglomerated, organic surface-modified nanoparticles with a mean particle size of less than 200 nm (greater than 10-30 wt.%) and (a2) microparticles having an average particle size of 0.4-10 mu m (45 to less than 85 wt.%) and (a3) optionally further fillers; (b) polymerizable monomers (3 to less than 25 wt.%), (c) one or more initiators and/or catalysts, and (d) optionally one or more other additives.
