The present description discloses a system and method for merchandise data management. The method comprises; receiving one or more electronic receipts from one or more POS terminals by a central data server, wherein the one or more electronic receipts comprises data associated with a transaction against purchase of a merchandise, extracting one or more data items from the one or more electronic receipts by the central data server, requesting additional data items from original equipment manufacturer of the merchandise by the central data server, organizing merchandise data by the central data server wherein the merchandise data comprises the one or more electronic receipts and the additional data items received from the original equipment manufacturer, and communicating the organized merchandise data to a user device associated with the user. |
