The present invention is a ferritic stainless steel foil that has a sheet thickness of 5 μm to 60 μm inclusive, and is characterized in that: the recrystallization rate of the stainless steel foil is 90% to 100% inclusive; and in the orientation distribution function obtained by analyzing the texture of the stainless steel foil, when the Euler angle φ2 is 45°±10°, in a plane in which the Euler angle Φ is 53.4°±10°, the maximum peak intensity ratio from among the peak intensity ratios demonstrated in the orientations corresponding to the Euler angle φ1 is no higher than 25. Here, the Euler angle φ1 is 0–90°.
