<p>PURPOSE:To improve the arithmetic processing capability of a computer by permitting a multiple item input device itself to refer to item data, to sequentially and automatically display a key content screen required for the input of data and to automatically execute and stop data corresponding to a selected key item independent of a screen switching instruction from a host computer. CONSTITUTION:When a transparent touch panel 6 is depressed and the specified key item in a key content is selected at the time of displaying the certain key content in a liquid crystal display part 10 constituting the multiple item input device 21, a conversion table is generated from item key defining data in an item data table by using CPU 1 and the bar code of the item is converted into an item number. Then, picture switching information in the table is referred to, the key content screen which is to be displayed next is specified and a picture memory 8 is cleared. Then, display data in the content screen is read from a system memory 2, and is developed into a dot pattern in a pattern generator 4, whereby it is transferred to the memory 8. Thus, the display of the display part 10 changes into the key content screen which is to be displayed next.</p> |
