The device has an unlocking electromechanical actuator that is arranged to act upon an uplock unit (7) with a view to deactivating the actuator during opening of the door (3) in flight. A control unit (17) is operated by an operator on the ground to control an opening sequence during which the unlocking electromechanical actuator is actuated to deactivate the uplock unit and a closing sequence during which the manoeuvring units (5) are actuated to close the door again.
