PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head jamb capable of improving temporary holding properties of a rail member.SOLUTION: A head jamb 20 includes a head jamb member 30 where a recessed groove part 40 having a downward opening is formed and a rail member 21 which is fitted to the recessed groove part of the head jamb member to guide fittings 10, and has a downward opening. The head jamb member is structured to have the recessed groove part and an engagement recessed part 42, which is open to a groove width direction of the groove-width-directional corner part of a groove bottom 41 of the recessed groove part, formed by bending a belt-like plate material 30A, formed by sticking a decorative sheet 39 on a top surface of a wooden base material 31, at regions of a plurality of bent groove parts 35, 37, and 38, formed along a longitudinal direction such that at least the decorative sheet is left on a reverse surface of the belt-like plate material 30A, with the bent groove parts 35, 37, and 38 in. A width-directional upper-end corner part of the rail member is provided with a projection piece part 24 which projects outward along the width of the rail member and is hooked by the engagement recessed part. |
