A system and method for locating a signal source are disclosed. The method utilizes signals S, received during respective time intervals {At1 }from the signal source by a number n of receivers IRcn}, and data about the change {AR} of the receivers' 5 positions {R}. The method includes processing the signals S" from each of the receivers to determine the phase AO,, accumulated in the signal S, during a respective time interval At. Based on the determined accumulated phases {A1 }, the accumulated phases differences AAOmn (differential phase) between the signals, Sm and So, that are received by two or more pairs {m,n} of the receivers are determined. Then, the location 10 of the signal source is determined such that it satisfies that the changes in the positions of the respective {n,m} receivers relative to that location correspond to the differential phases AAOmn between the signals received by the respective receivers. Providing a number of at least two receivers {Rcn}, including 105-1 one or more receivers mounted on moving platforms.
