A range hood comprises an upper hood which is formed in an inverse bowl shape, and a lower hood provided with an aperture face which covers the lower part of the upper hood. The aperture face is divided into two parts, a forward-side aperture face on the forward side which is close to a user, and a rear-side aperture face on the rear side which is away from the user. With regions surrounded by line segments extending in the plumb direction from the outer circumference of the forward-side aperture face and the outer circumference of the rear-side aperture face and the lower hood respectively designated the forward-side collection part and the rear-side collection part, the capacity of the forward-side collection part is greater than the capacity of the rear-side collection part. |
