A lighting device including a body (10). The body (10) includes a mounting area (11) with a plurality of conductive pads (50, 52) and an elongate member (16) extending from the mounting area (11). The mounting area (11) and the elongate member (16) are formed of a thermally conductive, electrically insulating material. The conductive pads (50, 52) are embedded in the thermally conductive, electrically insulating material.
