PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection apparatus capable of detecting high-energy radiation.SOLUTION: The radiation detection apparatus includes a strip-like detection element mounting substrate long in the incident direction of radiation, a plate-like radiation detection module, a cell section, and a base section. In the detection element mounting substrate, a plurality of semiconductor devices capable of detecting radiation are disposed in the incident direction of the radiation and are mounted on each of the front surface and rear surface of a printed wiring board. The detection element mounting substrate includes a converting section for converting the radiation detected by the semiconductor devices into an electric signal corresponding to the detected energy and outputting it. In the radiation detection module, a plurality of detection element mounting substrates are arranged and mounted in a first direction orthogonal to the incident direction. The cell section includes a plurality of radiation detection modules arranged and mounted in the second direction orthogonal to the incident direction and the first direction, and includes an outer wall for protecting the radiation detection modules from dust and shading them. The base section is disposed under the cell section, and collects electric signals output from the detection element mounting substrates. |
