In a stator 10, a coil 50 includes plural slot coils 25 that are inserted into slots 23 and plural connection coils 40 that connect the slot coils 25 in positions lying further axially outwards than axial end faces of a stator core 21. The slot coils 25 and the connection coils 40 are formed by plate conductors having planar plate surfaces that intersect a thickness direction. The slot coils 25 and the connection coils 40 are joined together on abutment surfaces P2, P3 with the plate surfaces of the plate conductors made to face each other for surface contact. |
