PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both versatility of monitoring means that monitors a microcomputer and reliability of a control device.SOLUTION: A control device 1 comprises a microcomputer 5 and a monitoring IC 7 that monitors operation of the microcomputer 5 and performs a prescribed failsafe operation when determining the microcomputer 5 to be abnormal. The monitoring IC 7 includes a time setting unit 45 for setting an abnormality determination time as a variable operation content according to a setting request from the microcomputer 5. The microcomputer 5 includes self diagnostic means 31-34 that diagnose whether or not the microcomputer 5 is normal, and a signal generation unit 25 for outputting an abnormality notification signal to the monitoring IC 7 when a diagnostic result by the self diagnostic means 31-34 is abnormal. In addition, the monitoring IC 7 includes an inhibition unit 46 for inhibiting setting operation of the abnormality determination time of the time setting unit 45 to inhibit the abnormality determination time from being erroneously updated when the abnormality notification signal is input. |
