This shoulder brace is mounted on a patient with a shoulder injury at an early stage of treatment to enable the patient to perform an exercise in a direction suitable for early rehabilitation. The shoulder brace is mounted on the patient with the shoulder injury in a physiologically normal limb position in which an elbow joint is bent forward 90º and rotated inward 30º. The shoulder brace comprises: a first layer provided with at least shoulder contact parts 11a, 11b disposed on the respective shoulders in the anterior-posterior direction to extend a predetermined width and a dorsal connection part 13 connecting the posterior ends of the shoulder contact parts; and a second layer that is mounted so that a ring-shaped sling 21 having a predetermined width descends from the anterior end of a shoulder part 21a disposed on the shoulder contact part 11a of the first layer in the anterior-posterior direction to the ulnar side of a portion of the forearm near the elbow, passes underneath the forearm from the ulnar side to the radial side, extends across in front of the upper arm from the radial side of the forearm and is connected to the posterior end of the shoulder part 21a through the underarm. The shoulder brace enables the patient wearing the brace to perform a simple pendulum movement in the anterior-posterior direction while maintaining the inwardly rotated angle of the physiologically normal limb position. |
