A vehicle occupant information acquisition device of the present disclosure includes a driving control unit, an acquisition unit and an alert unit. The driving control unit switches between autonomous driving mode and manual driving mode of the vehicle. The acquisition unit acquires, from vehicle occupants riding in the vehicle, information relating to driving suitability of the vehicle occupants. In a case in which the driving control unit is switching from autonomous driving mode to manual driving mode, the alert unit alerts a vehicle occupant among the riding vehicle occupants who is suitable to drive on the basis of acquisition results from the acquisition unit. |
