The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for running an application program, belong to an operating system field. The method includes: receiving a triggering signal configured to instruct to run a second application program in a running first application program; uploading and analyzing by the first application program an installation package of the second application program to obtain a program component of the second application program; running the program component of the second application program in a runtime environment provided by the first application program. The present disclosure solves the problem that only if a corresponding installation package is installed, can an application program be used, and achieves an effect that the second application program may be run in the runtime environment provided by the first application program without installing the second application program. |
